In Tendo, we place importance on everyone’s involvement in agriculture that lets people and nature coexist in harmony. Under the philosophy of a great family that views “the universe as one family,” we aim to realize a society that nurtures compassion and care for each other.

The foundation of building a nation with agriculture as its key industry is “local production for local consumption.” Physical bodies of humans and the land are inseparable. Therefore, eating food that comes from one's local area is considered the most natural and ideal way of living. Also, it is believed that consuming foods that are in season in the local area brings health benefits.

We aim to create a comprehensive system where there is no trouble having food to eat beyond divisions such as region, prefecture (state or province), and country. What is harvested in each area is used within that area and is properly managed to maintain a fair society. When people in the nearby communities help each other by sharing, food becomes a large force that connects people to people.

By being grateful for the blessings suited to each region’s climate and natural environment, and by fostering a mindset that values things, we can achieve a society in which all people can continue living together.
